Hannah Montana is Miley Cyrus or is it vice-versa?

Destiny Hope Cyrus was born in Franklin, Tennessee on November 23, 1992 and has never been a stranger to the spotlight. Her father is none other than country superstar Billy Ray Cyrus of "Achy Breaky Heart" fame. Her exuberant smile led to her nickname of "Miley" (smiley) at a very young age and she has continually stated that she is devout in her faith and she regularly attends church. She also has an incredibly love for animals which has led to her ever growing collection of pets.

Miley first got the acting bug in Canada when she visited the set of her Dad's then show "Doc". She quickly got a guest role on the show and followed that performance up as the character "Young Ruthie" in "Big Fish". Miley then set her sites on Disney.

While auditioning for the part of "best friend" at the Disney channel she was told that she was too small for the part. Yet, she was then given the part of Hannah Montana due to her incredible performance. A Disney Channel Executive Vice President said that Miley is a person who "loves every moment of life." From that moment on Miley Cyrus would become known as Hannah Montana and the rest is history.
